H2 View: Pipistrel unveils hydrogen-powered aircraft

A 20-seat hydrogen-powered aircraft has been unveiled by aircraft manufacturer Pipistrel.

Slovenian aircraft manufacturer, Pipistrel Aircraft, unveiled a 20-seat hydrogen-powered aircraft called the Miniliner, a zero-emission airplane that the company says is capable zero-emissions propulsion, operating from runways shorter than 1 km in length, and with direct operating cost per seat that are 60% to 70% lower than today’s solutions.

Pipistrel indicates that it is now actively performing conceptual design studies in-house, as well as partnering with universities under the also EU-funded UNIFIER19 project.
